Theoretical Modeling of Information Security: Organizational Agility Model based on Integrated System Theory and Resource Based View

This study believes that information security is vital in protecting information resources (information systems as a whole) and use it as strategic resources for competitive advantages as part of organizational objectives. Having a secured strategic information resources allows organizations to be dynamics in the unpredictable business environment. This paper discusses the integration both concepts of information security and organizational agility to become a solid concept, in the effort of constructing a theoretical model for further study. There are several theories in relation to information security practices and organizational agility such as Sociotechnical System Theory; Social Cognitive Theory; Integrated System Theory; Resource Based View and Dynamic Capabilities are adapted and served as underpinning theories in providing insights and guidance for the development of theoretical model for this study.
